2021 Subaru Legacy
June 22 2021, Formula Subaru
The 2021 Subaru Legacy is at its 7th generation, and it undeniably gained tremendous amounts of style and technology throughout the years.
This upscale sedan is the latest vehicle to be built on the Subaru Global Platform, and it features expressive lines and bold attributes that catch the eye every time you look at it. However, this new redesigned Legacy is not all about looks. Its structure is 70% stiffer in torsional and front-suspension rigidity.
Buyers can choose between two well-calibrated power plants with the 2021 Subaru Legacy. The first engine is a new 2.5-litre SUBARU BOXER unit that produces 182 horsepower and 176 lb.-ft. of torque. This top-of-the-line powertrain is mated to Lineartronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters and a new eight-speed manual mode.
Those who require a little bit more power on their daily commute may also opt for a turbocharged 2.4-litre SUBARU BOXER that produces 260 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft. of torque. This one channels the power to the ground using a high-torque Lineartronic CVT.
Obviously, the 2021 Legacy is delivered with the standard Symmetrical full-time all-wheel drive, which is also supported by the standard active torque vectoring. This provides improved handling and cornering performance but also helps the 2021 Subaru Legacy to conquer any weather conditions.
Inside, the 2021 Legacy is available with the Subaru-first tablet-style vertically mounted 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This interior is particularly quiet thanks to new sound-insulated glass, which uses a sound-insulating inner film for the windshield and front-door glass. Glass thickness on all windows has also been increased. Expanded legroom in the rear and a bigger cargo area are also part of the key enhancements.
The 2021 Subaru Legacy also features Subaru’s EyeSight safety suite which allowed it to earn an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ rating.
