SUMMARY POSITION DESCRIPTION
Generate additional revenue for the dealership by selling financing, insurance, warranty programs and other appropriate after-sale items to customers, buyers of new and used units.
MAIN TASKS:
- Sell financing, life and health insurance, various protections such as replacement guarantees and extended warranties.
- Accurately and fairly process financing transactions through financing sources for approval.
- Negotiate with financial institutions in the event of refusal, submit the file to your superior if necessary for the negotiation of special conditions.
- Work closely with your supervisor to establish the sales department's objectives and ensure their achievement.
- Collaborate with sales managers to achieve a reasonable profit on each sale.
- Establish and maintain good business relationships with several sources of financing, including manufacturers and their financial subsidiaries.
- Constantly be on the lookout for new credit institutions in order to obtain competitive interest rates and financing programs.
- Prepare various reports on profits generated by transactions as well as the penetration rate by service offered.
- Establish and maintain a program that will ensure that 100 percent of customers will rely on after-sales marketing service.
- Provide customers with detailed explanations of aftermarket products and extended warranties.
- Explain in detail to customers the service terms and policies of manufacturers and the dealership.
- Complete forms relating to the sale of units accurately and efficiently. See to the collection of amounts due; accept deposits and produce receipts.
- Process end-of-month commission sheets intended for the accounting payroll department.
- Provide the sales team, on an ongoing basis, with up-to-date information on financing programs.
- Train the sales team on the benefits of financing, insurance and extended service programs as well as how to prepare the customer for the services offered by the Sales Manager.
- Supervise and train designated backup staff to ensure efficiency and profitability in their absence.
- Maintain an adequate and up-to-date reserve of all contracts or documents necessary for the preparation and finalization of transactions.
- Attend directors’ meetings. Present yourself in a professional manner. Perform other tasks as needed and as directed by management.
ADDITIONAL TASKS
Improve your IT knowledge so as to become a support in this area for the company.
Take care of the registration of new and used units.
Update data on the company's website. Build the spreadsheets necessary for the smooth running of the company's various departments.
Proceed with sending thank you letters, birthdays, reminders, etc.
Prepare customer after-sales follow-up lists.
Update the price list of new and used units as well as available accessories.
See to the labeling of units in the showroom taking into account the items for sale, manufacturer promotions and monthly payments acceptable to the customer.
